- Don't have an URL, but I have the Discover! magazine at home. Back when
- Discover was an actual _science_ magazine it had a monthly byline called
- "Sceptical Eye" in which they would look at some bogus claim or another
- and pick it apart. In this particular issue the article appeared on the
- last page of the issue and included a very large image of the picture
- described above.
-
- Responce to the article was just as much fun. Readers wrote in with all
- sorts of other examples of such creations - pyramids, the face of JFK etc.
- - that when viewed from another angle or time were nothing but a pile of
- rocks. In addition one reader sent in such a rock pile that had a
- disturbing resemblance to the famous playwrite Shaw, that they actually
- renamed it in his honour. It's in northern Quebec.
-
- I have this magazine at my parents place, I suppose I could put it up
- for you all when I get back home from here in Ireland. In the meantime I
- will attempt to contact some oldertimers at Discover about getting the
- picture for you all. I would also suggest a trip to the library for you
- all, you can easily find it for yourself.
